Sam Lomax

Before joining Savory, Sam was working as Chief Quantity Surveyor for a large construction company based in Auckland. While working in this position he found a genuine passion for overseeing the bigger picture. Being detail-oriented and very much a people person, his qualities naturally directed him toward a future in management - which is precisely what he does today.

As our Executive General Manager, Sam handles Savory’s day-to-day operation. It’s a big job organising our ever-growing team, but he manages to keep the show running every single day. Sam is a NZGBC accredited GreenStarPractitioner. When asked what motivates him, Sam says that watching his team grow and develop is his honest answer. Seeing them take on challenges and learn new skills to execute a solution - it really takes the cake. And when he’s not working? You’ll find Sam in the outdoors mountain biking or spending time with family
